We landed to the most incredible service we could have ever imagined.

We were greeted right off the plane and taken smoothly through security to the hands of both Stephen and Quintin who were then with us until we hugged them (and my 7 year old granddaughter cried her eyes out) having to say goodbye back at security on our last day. Perfection and beyond are the only words I have. Every single detail was not met but given thought and exceeded what you would think was happening. Birthdays were celebrated with gifts and cakes…. An incredible family photo was printed and framed in an exquisite frame and gifted to us, we danced, we saw more animals than on our bucket list. Our birder grandson got 104 new birds listed. The knowledge they both had along with their incredible passion for their jobs shined through more than we could have ever expected. These guys know what they are doing!

Just arrived home from one of the greatest trips of my entire life, or more accurately I should say, the greatest trip of my life.

Stephen Bell and Quentin Swanevelder both led the trip through multiple destinations and provided both an impressive professionalism and knowledge of the surroundings as well as being personable and amicable. Their expertise mixed with friendliness were utilized to take the trip from an excellent safari trip to the most fun trip I have ever been on bar none.

Seriously the best trip I have ever been a part of.

Stephen and Q were the perfect pair when navigating all the safari life that Botswana and South Africa has to offer. They were incredibly knowledgeable not only when it came to the wildlife but also the best way to get the most out of our experience there which included outside of game drives: nature and tracking walks, fishing trips, cultural experiences at village visits, and so much more that had everyone in our group (ages 7 to 76) overjoyed. Along with their intelligence, they are both such amazing people and fit right in with my big family, bringing everyone to tears when we inevitably had to part ways at the end of our stay. This pair made this trip truly unforgettable.

Stephen Bell's knowledge and expertise in traveling the African safari made our trip first class from start to finish. Having Stephen and Quentin Swanevelder, or 'Uncle Q' as our kids call him now, both with us during the trip provided incredible insight into the wildlife, food, and culture of the areas where we traveled- plus they are just really great people to be with! We recently returned from a fabulous trip to South Africa.

We decided on a last minute trip to Cape Town and Kruger National Park for the holidays and a friend of mine put me in touch with Stephen Bell from Capensis Tours & Safaris. Stephen helped us plan our trip and was able to find us flights, hotels and a stay at an amazing luxury safari lodge. Stephen's assistant, Bianke, helped with all of the planning, answered our many questions and was always so responsive and professional. Stephen met us at the airport upon our arrival in Cape Town and he toured us around the wine country, city and Peninsula for the 4 days that we were in Cape Town. We thoroughly enjoyed the sights we saw and the activities that were planned. We were traveling with our four children in their 20's and Capensis tailored the trip to suit everyone's needs. We enjoyed our time with Stephen and we would highly recommend Capensis if you are planning a trip to South Africa and beyond. We will definitely be using Capensis again when our travels find us back in Africa.

Hard to know where to start...

...but for a genuine a star studded big five star review I’d have to say the highlight of touring with Capensis Tours & Safaris was the knowledge imparted.

Luxurious exotic destinations are one aspect that’s expected but what wasn’t was the depth of knowledge and connectivity with their surroundings.

It’s been visually stunning incredibly comfortable and the itinerary became much easier than I’d thought it would be.

We have been on several trips to Africa but Capensis takes the prize for every aspect from travel to food and wine to experiences with wildlife and geography. We saw more game than expected and learned more every day of our trip. The owners knowledge of game, biology, geology, wine and food is never ending. If you are planning a trip to Namibia, Cape Town or anywhere in Africa we recommend Capensis. The owner of Capensis was with us the entire 3 weeks of our visit.
